Indonesia is preparing a Draft Regulation on the Eradication of Economic Crimes that would create a powerful new Task Force led by the Attorney General. This Task Force can investigate, prosecute, freeze assets, pursue beneficial owners, and resolve corporate cases through peace fines or Deferred Prosecution Agreements (DPA).

Under the new KUHP and KUHAP, corporations are now formally recognized as subjects of criminal offenses and can be held criminally liable, marking a major shift from Indonesia's previously individual-centered approach.

With 550 articles across 14 chapters, this regulation fundamentally reshapes how businesses obtain and maintain their operating licenses in Indonesia.
